Science Week
Dear Parents
We are nearly there again…one of the most exhilarating times of the year……the Cambridge Science Festival…..it used to be just one day now it spans over 10 days of exciting activities for children and adults
Big Science Saturday 14th March
All over town are fabulous events like Go wild in Cambridge; ice cream making; Crash, Bang ,Squelch; Toenails and Eyeballs; make your own cave art or chemistry in action with loud bangs!
15th Anglo Saxon Day or Shepreth Wildlife Park open day
21st Visit the vet school or astronomy
And in between lots of talk and activities…..just check out the

All the events are listed so why not make yourself a programme, don walking shoes and have science FUN!!!
At school we will be doing some special activities including a competition to ‘design and show your own experiment’
Also the following activities have been arranged:

Monday 9th March 9.30am KS3 (Med,Tyr,Ion) @ Cherry Hinton Hall(CHH);
10.30am KS2 (Juniors) @ Cherry Hinton Hall(CHH)
An animated talk on Astronomy and the Electromagnetic spectrum
[NB. Ionians to start at CHH]
Friday 13th 10-1pm IGCSE 1 @Cambridge Picture House a talk and film on Health, Food and Nutrition
(students to arrive @JSC as usual then walk down together)
Thursday 26th KS2 to spend day @ Manor school investigating “Newton’s Colour box” travelling by bus! (normal drop off & collection @CHH)
KS3 @ Colour box 2-4pm, pick up from Manor School@ 4pm
Monday 30th KS1 (Infants) day @ colour box(normal drop off & collection )
