CIPA
Cambridge International Parents Association
Welcome to the Cambridge International Parents Association.
As a new member of the school community, you are automatically a member of the Cambridge International Parents Association (CIPA). Meetings will be held at least once every half term with additional meetings for events being organized when necessary. ALL parents/carers are welcome to any meetings and any suggestions about the activities of CIPA are always welcome.
Aims and Objectives
A central aim of CIPA is to provide support to parents and children who have newly arrived in Cambridge. We hope that through the meetings and events that are organized, parents and children will feel part of the school community and get the most out of their time in Cambridge, particulary if theirs is only a temporary stay. We are establishing a list of parents of different nationalities who are happy to support new parents and children as they are settling in.
CIPA aims to run events during the school year for parents and children to get together in an informal setting to have fun and get to know each other. These events will also raise funds to purchase ‘additional’ equipment, activities and experiences for the school.
CIPA hopes also to aid communications and relations between parents and the school and also amongst the parents themselves.
Making Contact
Times and dates of meetings will be emailed to all parents via the school email system. Once the school has moved to its new home we will establish a CIPA area of a noticeboard and notices of meetings will also be posted there.
We are keen for those parents who wish to get involved or have any suggestions to contact us either through the school or directly.
We look forward to meeting you soon!

3rd May 2007
Dear Parents
A meeting was held last evening to plan the Summer Fayre. To help with parking it was decided to change the day of this event from a Saturday to a Sunday. Therefore the new date is Sunday 24th June 2007 from 12noon until 2pm, so please put this in your diaries as we would love to see everybody there.
Our children will be running several activities organised in there classes and they will be asking for contributions to cake stalls, raffles, tombolas etc.
There will also be other activities which are being organised by the committee and for which we will be asking for volunteer helpers. In the next few weeks we will be putting up a board so that you can sign up for half hour slots of help. We hope that this will serve to avoid anybody being stuck at one activity for the whole afternoon.
Lastly, we are looking for ideas and contacts for a ‘major attraction’ for the Fayre. Maybe a juggler or a clown, or perhaps a vintage car. Something which will capture the children’s imagination. If you have any ideas please let either myself or Dr Sturdy know.
